The Best 17x9 Wheel

I'm going with a 17x9" wheel and have narrowed it down to a few good ones in a decent price range. This is a optimal size while keeping the wheel light and being able to run a good sized tire or tyre.

EDIT: (Application) I'm looking for 1 set of wheels, other than my stockers for winter. This means I will be getting these wheels for daily driving, road trips, track use, car shows, etc. The best of all worlds. Also looking to spend less than $2K!

Please vote on which ones you think are the best for your money!

by weight and price the RPF1 are a hard deal to beat.

GTM_Challenge 03-26-2013 04:15 PM

For track use, the RPF1 is our go to. That being said, Enkei is sold out of them in a 17x9 for a few months yet, so we went with 57DRs for now.

D1cker 03-26-2013 04:30 PM

Dollar vs Performance the RPF1 is King.

The best wheel though is going to be a TE37 SL in 17x9. (or the RT in 17x9.5)

Edit: FYI I own both the RPF1 and TC105N in 17x9.

shu5892001 03-26-2013 04:39 PM

VOLK CE28 17x9 is also good, real version of the DPT

JoeBoxer 03-26-2013 05:02 PM

Rota Titan and OZ Formula HLT are worth a look too.

RPF1 are a great deal for track use, very light and inexpensive!

I'm looking to spend under 2k, but I know the TE37s are epic! If I come across a good deal on some used ones that would be awesome. Thanks for the input!

The CE28n are awesome, but very expensive! I would definitely get them if the price was right.

How much do the titans weigh?

I really like the look of the OZ formula but if I recall they are over 21lbs!

Thanks

I love the concave look, is that a +35 or +38? Or are those the same look with different hub width.

stilletto 03-26-2013 06:39 PM

Works. Hands Down. ..though I'd suggest 18x9.5
