Driving section - actually driving the things somewhere

There's a lot of build threads and what I done and what I'm gonna do to it, that sort of thing all over here.
That's good and all. Important things to know.

What section should we report on interesting roads and where you've been driving to other than starbucks or the mall parking lot?

First thing I did when I got the new car was a loop around Hood Canal. Interesting roads, a nice lunch and first miles on the car.
Reporting on something like this doesn't seem to have a place here.
Today I took a drive up to Port Townsend along winding coastal roads. Nice, but...

Don't really want a personal blog or journal sort of thing.
Was looking to share nice roads that others may have heard about or driven, conditions etc.

Would be a good place for Photo Tag as well.

This is a great idea! So we can share Drive Reports and GPS tracks!

Motorcycle forums generally call this section something like "ride reports" and they include pictures, sometimes maps, and descriptions of great rides people have been on in the hopes of inspiring other people to find their way to that same bit of road or some interesting/photo worthy view. I think this forum could use something like that.

Moto riders have good taste in roads.

One of the best roads I have ever driven is in SE Ohio, Route 555:

Plenty of twisties, best run with some friends. On a Scale of 1-10 on difficulty, I'd give it a solid 7.

Thats a good idea, actually. Lets make a rating system--1: Lazy Sunday through 10: Some Poo Just Came Out!

That's a winner. I've taken that (both ways) many times on motorcycle and in my last few cars. It's got to be a winner when it comes to being challenging.

The road I put in 2nd place is Catalina Highway starting in the N.E. part of Tucson and going up to the top of Mt. Lemmon. It's 27 miles of a well maintained road gently sweeping up about a mile and a half in elevation. The reward at the top is the little village of Summerhaven which is a nice spot for lunch and gift shops.
