Extra wires in AU GTS edition
 

Hi guys
Got my GTS few months ago. Now checking out the internal panels to see where the cables for the camera and speakers will go.
Taken the HU out (Fujitsu Ten) and found 3 cables that plugin to HU (see photos), but are not attached to anything on the other end - just terminated.
I tried to figure out what is what, but can only tell that one should go to reverse sensor. Please help to figure this out.
The wires are Green, Red and Purple with white stripe

I would assume Front Sensors, Rear Sensors and Reverse Camera as these are Accessories that are Accessible to your market. So the car should have come prewired to some degree for them. You can try reaching out to @SVXdc as he has a wealth of knowledge with these matters.

Gawd I wish our cars in the US came prewired for these Accessories. Meh.

Doubt it, as there are only 3 wires in total and they only plugged in to the unit - and they are not on the standard pins for the camera... One of them (green I think) is reverse gear sensor. If I read the pin-out correctly, pin 17 (purple) is for VSS, but again, the wire just goes nowhere. The red one is on 16 pin socket. From pin-out - parking break.

They somehow attach to the main wire loom, so must be getting some data from somewhere. I just don't understand, why have an extra 2m (or so) cable with all 3 wires in it that are just terminated. What was the purpose of it?

Here in AU we are ripped off. No features like 3-way speaker split with an amp in the back, no microphone in the roof etc etc... Yet we pay more for the same car (even though Japan is closer to AU than US)
