BRZ Spoiler on FRS

First off I used the search feature but didn't find jack so I apologize if this has been discussed.

I have seen multiple pictures of the Scion FRS sporting the BRZ spoiler, but I can't find any technical information.

Can the BRZ spoiler be installed on a Scion FRS directly or is special modification required? I saw some people were proposing trunk swaps which seemed excessive.

Thanks!

The BRZ spoiler is the same as the one on the 86 in the rest of the world, so yes of course it will fit. The reason trunk swaps are easier is because of the amount of holes needed to be drilled to install.

Yeah I was planning on having the Scion OEM spoiler installed when I bought the car because I thought it was the same OEM spoiler that is on the BRZ, but its not.

So in the rest of the world the 86 gets the same spoiler as the BRZ, but here we get the Scion version.

I guess I will have to get it installed after I buy the car which means it won't be covered by my bumper to bumper warranty. Would you have Subaru do the install or Scion?

If you get the template showing where to drill, I would get body shop to do it.

Why don't you look into a trunk swap with a BRZ owner? There are lots of them looking for the wingless trunk, and you wouldn't have to pay for the spoiler or install.

Excessive is drilling holes and the probability of a leak or misalignment comes to mind. No one can match factory accuracy. IMHO. Get a trunk swap like I did and be done with it Attachment 31713

any body shop can put on a bumper cover, its easy to do yourself if you have the skills
