The Houston86 Club and Phastek presents Borla meets Vortech

So Victor @F1point4 finally got his Borla UEL header and I helped install it with the help from Chris @Chris@Phastek and Pete. We also decided to dyno it before and after. I'll let Chris come back with the full numbers and graphs if needed. This video was mostly so you could get an idea of sound.

Exhaust: Perrin resonated header back, perrin overpipe, and of course Borla UEL header.

The borla killed the torque dip, it's hard to see in the video but on the dyno you can see the valley is gone.

Sounds beefy, nice.

Run into any fitment issues with the install?

Would have liked to have seen a better header used, but good results regardless.

sounds super !!

What were the before numbers?

Great Boxer Sound! Thanks for sharing.

So much win. I think the key to taming the sound of the headers is a nice long resonator like in the stock or Perrin resonated midpipe.

I was surprised at how quiet it was in person. I expected it to be much louder, but all that really changed was the boxer rumble and the note is even deeper now.

The header is catless, the car has a high flow secondary cat.

Captain Insano 03-24-2013 11:15 PM

Ok so it has a high flow cat in the front pipe. Thanks for the clarification.
