Wheel lock on only one per wheel: unbalanced?
Is the weight difference of only putting one wheel lock on 1 wheel negligible or does it cause a problem like using a lab centrifuge without balancing the test tubes in it?
Would it be the cause of camber wear? |
You should be using 5 per wheel for maximum security and theft deterrence.

I dont really live in a high crime area but I was wondering if it causes some unbalance at high speeds. Yea, I have those ghetto ones in the bottom pic.

I'm sure they are very close in weight, if not exactly the same. In addition they very close to the center of rotation where a minor imbalance has far less effect then it would close to the outer edge of the wheel.

As long as you are not mix matching aluminum locks with the stock ones then you should be fine. Lighter is always better though so when in doubt go get a full 20pc set aluminum from ebay.
