Airbag light

I just replace my drivers side curtain airbag and the airbag light on the dash is still on. Does anyone know how to reset it?

Bump! Anyone know any airbag resetting tool?

I'm so sorry. I honestly have no idea :cry::iono:, and hopefully someone who knows more will be able to correct me or help. I did a quick search around online and found this;

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_to_mak...7_Buick_Rivera

I get it's from wikianswers (THE MOST RELIABLE SOURCE EVER. /sarcasm), and that it's from an entirely different generation/make/model, but it's worth a shot.

Hopefully though, someone else will jump in, smack me, and give you a proper answer!:thumbsup:

Thanks for helping!

I only wish I actually knew what I was talking about so I could help you properly!

Why did you replace the airbag? Did it deploy due to a collision? If so, you need to replace more than just the airbag.

Quote:

(2) Side collision
• Airbag control module
• Satellite safing sensor
• Front door impact sensor (operating side)
• Side airbag module (operating side)
• Side airbag sensor (operating side)
• Curtain airbag module (operating side)
• Curtain airbag sensor (operating side)
• Pad ASSY - front seat backrest (operating side)
• Cover COMPL - front backrest (operating side)
• Trim panel - roof ASSY
• Trim panel for each pillar (operating side)
So, basically besides any airbags that deployed, you need to replace the impact sensors and control unit. If you replaced the curtain because of wiring damage or whatever, you'll need to get a scan tool to clear the codes.

Yikes. I wish there was a no airbag option....
