brz limited heated seats

is it just me or do the seats not get noticeably hot? i put it on high for a half hour and it didn't even really feel like it was working. same on the passenger side.

???Weird??? I'd check to make sure that the harness is plugged in or take it to service.

lavisxice 03-23-2013 02:50 PM

hmm maybe get it checked out by the dealer? mine gets pretty damn hot when its on full.

is there a simple harness on the bottom of the seats? maybe they forgot it during prep or something. i'll have to take a look and if anything i'll just give service a call

Mine on high get pretty hot and I usually switch them to low after about 10m or so. On low if it's 20-35* it's a just right warm for me.

abutterman 03-23-2013 03:35 PM

just called the service department. they're going to see if it's just a plug somewhere that i can get to or if i need to bring it in. i have a feeling it's just not plugged in since it's both sides

Burrcold 03-23-2013 04:02 PM

Compared to some other cars, they don't get AS hot, but to me it's hot enough. They also heat up extremely quickly, which is a nice bonus!

Spaceywilly 03-23-2013 04:04 PM

I usually can only have it on high for a few minutes before it gets too warm for my tastes, but that's just me

abutterman 03-23-2013 04:05 PM

yea mine don't seem to get hot at all. anyone know what harness i could check to see if it's all plugged in right?

It should be visible under the seats if it's plugged in or not. This is something that they do at "prep". It would come from the factory plugged in.

I always have mine on and they are always on high. I've got a bad back and I just love the heat on my lumbar area.

The heat should slowly climb up on high, level and then taper off in short period of time. It will then start again, where it will climb, level and then taper off. It won't be "hot" continuously for a long period of time.

Perhaps a blown fuse?

I was thinking that but didnt get a chance to look though. Whats the chance of both fuses going?

Goody 03-24-2013 05:36 PM

If it is indeed a fuse there might only be one. That being said, I haven't looked at the fuse boxes either.
