that may be what @doggy used in his FR-S here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=208. looks pretty good but i think it's too much.

Is it wrong that I want a seat wrapped in that fabric?

haha reminds me of the crisis video game guy's armor back in the 1st game. it was a woven look and would change colors

i turned doggy onto it a while ago and he ordered it when he saw it, says the photos dont do it justice, the youtube video is awesome, but he said it is a bit harder to work with and it is more expensive

Yes its the same one :) I ordered Cooper now to see how it looks. Red is absolutely stunning - but might be too much for some people.

So, is this stuff carbon fiber, or is it fabric? I thought you couldn't color carbon fiber, due to how it was made. Or is there a way to dye
carbon now?

boredom.is.me 03-25-2013 10:27 AM

It's a composite. The colored portion is actually fiberglass. Kevlar is harder to dye than fiberglass, but is possible.

It appears as though they are using the term fabric instead of cloth (which we all know).

That stuff looks awesome!
