so many exhaust! which one???

Hey, so I am looking to make exhaust my first mod on my black scion fr-s. There are many exhaust out there and I can't seem to figure out which one I want. What exhaust is the best sound for around 700 to 800 dollars? Performance improvement would be nice, but isn't as a big deal as sound is to me. Help me please find the exhaust for me.

Nameless Axleback, your search is over. Beats just about everything.

You can choose your loudness level, and between a 2.5" inlet and a 3" inlet if you plan on FI. Has a real deep tone with the axleback by itself, deep and louder with the axleback + downpipe, then really comes alive with their header. Top notch quality.

^What he said entirely! My Nameless exhaust sounds amazing and I literally spent months researching every exhaust to find the right sound and quality. You can't beat Nameless in quality as they build each exhaust to order and its a USA made company, choose Nameless bro, you wont regret it!

Is that a bolt on by any chance? Have a test drive in a week and can't decide whether or not to get the Trd... Especially if I can install something without welding.

Complete bolt on, only moderately difficult part is jacking up the engine 1" to connect the downpipe to the headers. Other than that the axleback is a piece of cake to install! I wouldn't waste the money on a TRD exhaust IMO, there are better options for less money!

I'm not trying to come here and flame and I love that this forum is so helpful but I'm really tired of these 'what exhaust should I buy threads'.

It is and always will be personal preference, too many different factors (price point, sound, quality, look, etc) to tell someone what to get. Half the fun is looking and deciding for yourself.

He brings up a great point. Everyone does have a different flavor in exhausts, from rasp, to deep sounding, to REALLY LOUD, etc. You need to spend a week or so and go through the different companies, find your price range, and look at reviews and search these forums. I'm spitting out Nameless because I've personally talked to them, seen and used a product before, and the price matches their quality.

Do your research because you will be flooded with opinions from several happy customers of different products. Since you mentioned sound, Perrin and Nameless are up there as the best sounding exhausts and highest satisfaction.

I really really REALLY like nameless performance exhaust from the start but it doesn't have a down pipe and I don't have money for it and the down pipe. Is the down pipe kinda required to get that good sound? And can you put a link to which exhaust you have from their website?

If you don't plan on doing any other exhaust mods >>> Perrin non-resonated

brocktwalker 03-23-2013 09:57 AM

Perrin is really good to but it is kinda high

I can't find a USA dealer for super sprint. I don't think it is around 800

wbradley 03-23-2013 10:14 AM

Magnaflow. No drone, nice tips, reasonable price. Made in USA.

Supersprint?! Yeah for like 3 grand!
