Yet another new email from Scion
"Hey Scion FR-S Fans!
In November, many of you witnessed the worldwide debut of the 2013 Scion FR-S live at Milk Studios in Hollywood. At the North American International Auto Show today, Scion revealed some new details surrounding Scion's newest model. Many of you have been asking when you'll have a chance to park a new Scion FR-S in your garage. Scion is launching a new program that might grant that wish sooner than you think! We're thrilled to announce the Scion First 86 program that gives 86 lucky people the chance to be among the first to own the Scion FR-S. Beginning on January 12th, 2012 at Noon (EST), anyone who wants a chance at purchasing the FR-S before it goes on sale to the general public has 8 hours and 6 minutes to submit their request at www.************.com. Scion will randomly select 86 people to receive the opportunity to own the FR-S first! There are already 20,000 hand raiser sign-ups, so be sure you don't miss this opportunity! Check out www.************.com for more information and the program FAQ's! Scion is also pleased to announce that the 2013 Scion FR-S will be the first model to feature the all new Pioneer BeSpoke connected infotainment audio system, powered by Zypr. The new BeSpoke system has cool new features that include locating friends on the map on your audio screen, reading and sending tweets via voice command, posting on Facebook, and listening to over 200 internet radio stations. There are so many advanced functions in this new system and we can't wait for you to try them out when the FR-S goes on sale this Spring. The FR-S is an amazing display of Scion's ability to produce an affordable performance vehicle. Until now, the Scion tC has been the main platform for motorsports and racing. We're excited to announce that Scion Racing and GReddy Racing have teamed up to create the ultimate FR-S drift car for the 2012 Formula Drift season! Make sure to keep your eye on Ken Gushi and the Scion Racing team, who will be piloting the FR-S in the upcoming season." Oh man! So excited!! It's so close that I can almost feel it! |

^ yep :P
and as I stated in the other release topic, I hope it doesn't mean that the navigation system is included, rather its just an option. |

There was always going to be a standard radio...they just upped it to something cooler. You go Scion! Now I am going to be able to post to this forum while I am driving using my voice! LMAO! NICE! |
I've signed up for these emails 3 times, yet I still fail to get them lol.
Does anyone else see any place to sign up for the first 86 program? The link looks the same as before to me. |
New Scion Pioneer Bespoked System
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...7&d=1326114520 OLD scion Navigation system that was $1999.. http://pictures.dealer.com/j/johnphi...d4f66d4d98.jpg |
Wow, that new nav looks really pritty. :3
|
Not a good sign for pricing if this is standard. That means they will load the car with this junk to justify a sticker $2-3k more than we expect. I now predict $24.5k
|
They're holding true to Scion demographic = sound systems and crazy interior colors.
|
I have also signed up many times and never receive an email. Nor do I see anywhere that looks like a place to sign up to be one of the first 86, is that because it wont be up til the 12th?
|
Price information has got to be out today if they are going to let 86 people decide on 1/12.

Nope...i am still sticking with my $22.5K prediction. They were ripping people off by charging $1999 for the old navigation system in the current Scions. They will probably make this standard on all the Scions in the near future. A lot of cars are coming with these new infotainment systems. Its like the future. $22.5K!!! |
so this was the "big announcement"????? bah humbug.
