New Ohio License Plates

As you may or may not have heard, the new plate for Ohio is coming out in the middle of April:

Story HERE

What are your thoughts on it, and what it is replacing? (what I kindly refer to as "Land O Lakes Butter Box" plate)

Also, I had to renew recently, and had to get the old plates, or get a $20 penalty. Instead, I'm going to order new plates after they come out, and pay the $11 replacement fee. Still paying, but at least its cheaper. :D

They ain't purty but they would probably match my white MR-S better than the butter box ones. Plus, I could probably get away with putting them behind the grill on the front because they would be bright enough to see. $11 bucks huh? I just got my new stickers last week. Cost me $90 for the Spyder because vanity. Now, I will probably drop another $11 and have to wait for them to show up.

I think its $11, but its not more than $15. And you will probably have them a few days after you order them. They are pretty quick about getting them out.

I like the new ones better. A lot less busy and less colorful than the old ones. Still have the previous ones on most of our cars, will probably be forced to upgrade most of them this year when I renew.

I still have the very old ones and plan on keeping those. i may update them witha custom license plate now that they are changing though (probably go with slo frs).

I'm going to wait until I go FI in order to do this though

Those old Ohio license plates would look really good on Ken Gushi's new drift car.

I saw the new one in person today, it's pretty blah. Better than the sunshine one I guess, but that isn't saying much considering how god awful that plate is. I was going to try and get truck plates if they wouldn't give me a collector plate. Sunshine plate is that terrible. :)

I ordered a new set of plates a few days ago, I'll post up a shot of them once they arrive.

I see the new plate says Steel on it. It should say Steal as in "The state is stealing more of my money with these higher fees."

I couldn't believe how much it cost me to renew the tags on two vehicles.

Well, I finally got the new plates and put them on the car:

Definitely think it matches the car and looks alot better
