Where can i get fuel higher than 91?

im looking for a fuel station that carries anything higher than 91 octane preferably north of sf

Look for race tracks: specifically Infineon Raceway (also called Sonoma Raceway) or Thunderhill if you're way up there. The only places legally allowed to sell over 91 in CA are at/next to race tracks.

May I ask why you need it?

Not exactly true. A station in Stockton sells 100 but is a good 20 minute drive from our local oval track, so maybe it has to be within a certain radius but not right next to it. And is the Sunol super station next to a track (legit question, idk the are that well)?

No high octane or E85 anywhere north of SF on the 101 etc. Nothing.

Closest high octane fuel will be at Infineon raceway in Sonoma for you.

I use Sunol Super Station, Andrade exit 680 and no there's no racetrack just horse farms. Post above about high octane needing to be near racetrack doesn't appear accurate

this places way to far ill hit up infinion with an email try to get some prices, i was just lookin to see if there was another Super Station this side of the bay, why do i need high octane fuel??? to go fast of course an 2) i wanna feel the difference in fuel maps 3) 91 doesnt make very much power. whats you guys think of av gas??? any tuner out there wanna have some fun with that?? i have a local air strip that will sell it.

id like to see what 100 octane does to this car lol i know i used to run 110 in my vett but my daddy used to mix our fuels before our races he never let me learn for myseld about that shit

Don't put leaded fuel in your car, it'll gum everything up and foul your catalytic converters and you'll fail smog. The materials aren't designed for it.

I believe our cars were designed to run on 93, so I'm not sure you're going to get much going to 100 (assuming you are all stock of course). Granted, our engines do heat up quite a bit, but not to the point of autodetonation to require such a high octane (I'm no expert though, just an educated guess). A few of us in the morning drive group got to try some 94 from the Sunol gas station, and I personally only felt a slight improvement from 91. Just finished that tank and filled back up with 91, and to me, it feels like the engine just pulls a slight bit of timing, with the 94 having a slight bit more better response.

lots of tuner shops and race tracks have it by me in AZ...not the same in cali? tuner shops dont have it? you can play with 93,94 or higher

XPR Small Block 03-22-2013 03:35 PM

100 octane would help alot when i go FI though im gonna see if i can get a 55 gal barrel of 94 from a local gas station

86_ZN6 03-22-2013 03:37 PM

i can post prices for sonoma raceway if you want. Im practically there almost everyday.

Is your car even tuned to run higher octane? Or stock flash?
