Reverse Lighting

I've looked around at a lot of lighting modifications and vendors but haven't really run into what I am looking for as far as reverse taillights. Is there anything that makes your lights bright as F**K when you have the MT/AT in reverse?

I have illegal tint and cannot see ANYTHING when the sun isn't shining when I look out the rear window, and I certainly don't want to scratch my baby!

*yes it's my fault for having super dark tint... but it's sexy.

EDIT: I also meant to say that I don't want to blind anyone when regularly driving with those lights being on all the time etc. I leave my running lights on even during the day to increase visibility of myself to other drivers.

I installed these. They're pretty damn bright :D

I second HID Powerhouse. They are BRIGHT.

Or get these for group buy price with additional brake light!

I have the HID Powerhouse reverse lights and they do help, but the natural design of this car just makes it difficult no matter what.

OP, have you considered a backup camera?

AtlasMick 03-21-2013 09:34 AM

No I hadn't. I have the base head unit and unless I upgrade to the BeSpoke, which many people are bashing, then I don't have the screen required. Do you have a reverse camera, and if so how handy is it?

I'm installing one soon on mine. Have everything just haven't gotten around to it yet. Ill let you know how it is. You can do a search for rydeen duo on here. You can see the viewing angle on those who've already installed it.

I love my backup camera. It really helps with the rear 3/4 view!

So I just got 20% tints for my car last Sunday. That night, I reversed my car right into my friend's car :(. Looks like I'll be getting a backup camera.

^^ Yes, this is what I want to avoid, I've got 2% on the rear quarters and rear window, did the same in my old accord but its window was much larger and I still reversed into a church parking lot stone pillar... so lessons learned.

Good luck on your repair for that by the way! It doesn't look too bad. Crossing my fingers its an easy fix!

If you had problems in the past with such dark tint why did you do the same thing? Not challenging your decision but just wondering why you want to out yourself in that position again. My tint is 30%, dark enough that the only thing you can see are outlines from the outside, but still light enough where I don't have issues with visibility at night.

Getting such dark tint on these cars is pointless. Now you're just using one mod to compensate for possibly another illegal mod. 15% is really the darkest you need to go. Hell, I have 30% all around and it's just dark enough so people can't see me inside, but all that's visible is an outline.

Btw, if you do need to put bright bulbs in your reverse lights (I have them in mine), then pretty much good quality LED vendor on here will have them.
