So...what are the current alternatives?

For the transmission? Nothing, for now.

The r&p is stronger on an 8.8. The post below yours explains it all. On the toyotas just bc something is popular doesn't make it better. Now the 9's and 60's blow the 8.8 and the 44 out of the water for various reasons, but I think cost vs strength I'd take a 8.8 over a 44 any day, and I have. I have 3500 into an 8.8 in my grand Cherokee. Not to say the 44 isn't a nice axle in the right form, but like i said, read the post below yours. I don't want to start an argument, just posting my experience and what I've heard from sources I deem to be reputable. In the end it's what gives you a warm fuzzy feeling and if a 44 does that for you, then that's what you should go with. I'm sure both would be a good upgrade from stock. :thanks:

Hm... Right when I don't know what else to put on my car.. you guys come out with an Oil Cooler and a rear diff solution.. Motherfuckers are owning my paychecks..

Can't wait to gear up on the rear end. Traction is hard to come by in 1st-3rd gear.

Btw, I'll finally be posting numbers on my e85 setup tomorrow. I just hope this doesn't cause too many people to copy my supporting mods setup for the base kit. But oh well...

A C4 would be more practical...but still, no.

Sorry, the price will be based on what DSS wants for the pro level axles and driveshaft. We are waiting to see what they come up with first.
