Me too, plenty to go at about 125 for me but I had to throttle down.

I am pretty sure that if you take it past 88mph you will end up in 1985.

:burnrubber:

But on substance i agree with you. However the op asked about top speed and i wanted to post and didnt want to lie or be hypocritical so i just told my story. im not telling anybody else to speed, its just i was in that situation and thats how it went down for me.

If you read between the lines of my posts on this topic, you'll see that I'm no shining paragon of virtue, and certainly I don't expect people to look at someone driving an FR-S or BRZ and think that person must go exactly at the speed limit all day, everyday. It's just like I said, this IS a public Internet forum open to anybody to browse....

I needn't tell you that perception, however right or wrong, is often a stronger influence than reality.

But my mama taught me now to lie

Seriously, I just nearly choked to death on Granola!!

Good motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body...but rather to skid in sideways, cigarette in one hand - beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO~HOO - What a Ride!"

...AND besides...its wasn't me driving, it was the monkey! Stupid monkey :-/

In a controlled environment I opened up my AT FR-S and I will echo what others have said about the tall gearing. Basically, don't bother hitting 6th if your car is stock or has only minor bolt-ons.

Gear limited top speed and actual top speed will be very different due to wind resistance. It's worth reposting that every few replies to remind people.

6th gear with MT on closed course. Final readings were 134mph @ 4,300+ ft elevation with a 5-15 mph cross wind.

Invest in Apple, stop 9/11, force Justin Bieber's dad to wear a condom. A plethora of things you could do.
