FA20Club.com Stage 1 Flash AutoTrans

Picked up the @FA20Club.com stage 1 tune.. Flashed the initial base map last Tuesday. The car felt a little off with the dead pedal which is to be expected. Drove around for a bit did some logs. Tony asked me the next day to redo them on a more flat road. Got that taken care of. Logs sent off Thursday morning.

First feelings the mid range power level I couldn't put my finger on it but it didn't feel quite right. Top end felt good.
Flashed back to stock over the weekend. Mid-range felt more like it should. Also the dead pedal was not present this time.
This morning Tony sent me over a revised file. Not sure what was changed. But he added my revised rev limit, the race rom features and e85.

This time around no dead pedal, and the car felt totally different. Car fucking screamed. Loved that 8k rpm limit. Drove it around like it was stolen until I had to go back to work.

Since I autocross a lot I had some transmission issues I had to test out with the rev limiter increase. The trans still wouldn't let me down shift back into first any sooner from what I could tell. Got back into first around 34mph.. I would love for it to let me shift back into first around 36mph. I have a feeling this is more of a hardware limit then a rev limiter issue(maybe). I will have more info on that when I put on my race tires and wheels this week.

But the car as been a lot of fun on this stage 1 tune so these last few hours. However in the morning its getting pumped full of e85. Hoping to get some logs over to Tony with the e85 in the car before this weekend’s race. Will be getting to a dyno some time.

I will say... you get a tune do your damn logs kids and send them in. Kudos to Tony and the guys over at Fa20club. I also did a overall vender review a few days back. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30969

Ya, 8k revs would be fun. Fa20club will get my money for ecutek at some point.

I am in champaign. And yes 8k rpms in all gears. But more so in the gears that matter to me. If you live close to champaign come out to rantoul this weekend for the our opening weekend of autocross. Both Sat and Sunday.

If you come north a few hours to chicago, you can try it on 85.

I was under the impression this was not possible for the automatic.
I must admit I haven't been following EcuTek progress lately.

What did you think was not possible? It has been working on the car since ecutek came out with flashes for this car. The Mt does have more features with racerom then we do though.

I should also say I picked @FA20Club.com due to they have a automatic as a shop car and did all of there RnD on it. :) It helped that they have had rave reviews on there customer service to.

Interesting. Specifically, the rev limit.
Apparently I've either been misinformed or I've missed something somewhere.
Ill leave it at that.
Thanks.
