GT86/86 Satnav + wire amp & sub
I have searched a fair bit for this question but didn't seem to find what i was looking for.
The purpose is to retain the factory Sat Nav while adding 6.5" splits, amp and a sub. For those of you who don't know, the Aus delivered 86 GTS models came with a Sat Nav from Toyota. The Sat Navs however don't come with RCA pre-outs. Now I understand that we require a high line input to RCA for the signal from head unit to the AMP. I will be using a 4 channel AMP so the splits will run off the 2 channels while the Sub can run off the other 2. My question is, in previous cars I have owned I have always had aftermarket audio systems. I believe that the sat nav here does not have sub outs. So when connecting the system, the splits used to be under the High pass filter and the sub will receive the low signals from the head unit directly. However since the high line inputs contain just the one signal, how does the Amp distinguish between high pass for the splits and low pass for the sub? Or maybe I am just confused about how the amp works. |
What you need is a Audiocontrol lc6i it will take your 4 channel line outs and turn it into 6 rca preouts (front+rear+sub). With the Lc6i you can also control the cut off frequency. http://www.audiocontrol.com/222456/p...r----LC6i.html

A different brand might make one but audio control doesn't have one like that.
