In the latest evo mag (Isssue 166) under the title of " The BRZ STI-And Beyond" there is this tasty snippet:

Aluminum foil hood will be about 40lb lighter. But I doubt they would use aluminum foil.

Sti is slower than wrx 0-60, isn't it?
Sti is a scam. |

They focused on overall performance. |
after seeing the BRZ STI concept @ the LA show last year they had better do an STI version for real. a small bump in out put (esp torque) wouldn't hurt. none the less i'll be happy w/ whatever STI gives us.:happy0180:

Miata driver basing performance off 0-60s... Ive seen it all now. |
In the new Top Gear BRZ Magazine Review thread a Subie engineer asserted the BRZ will NEVER see factory forced induction but hinted that tougher valve springs can be fitted into the engine allowing it to rev to 9k rpm. Worth speculating considering who said this.

However, after 60mph the wrx will lose to the STi STI is just a name. Just like how TRD is just a name. =\ |
BRZ STi version will have rear seat delete, no AC, no PW, no PL.
Maybe light weight front crash beam? |
