rear license plate mounting bracket
not sure this is the right/best section for this.... also, i searched and most posts are for the front only.. i just need a quick answer anyway so hopefully no flaming.
I don't like that the license plate rests directly on the paint. Can you recommend one is durable and good quality? I got one from the auto parts store and the holes aren't aligned with the ones on the car. thank you very much. |
I thought about plasti dipping my plates and back of the frame, that way you won't get metal and paint contact.

Use the soft side of Velcro, attach a few pieces to the back of the plate at appropriate spots. Or perhaps hold it in place with double sided tape. Hardware stores sell pads that attach to the bottom of chair legs, etc that would also work.
|
Use double side tape and some thin foam or packing materi

Good idea!

My car had two foam things stuck to the trunk lid for the plate to rest on.

I left the dealer license plate insert on behind the plate to keep the plate off the paint.
