North East Ohio Car Meet April 28th 2013
 

It is time for the annual dust off in NEO.
Every year we get all the fanatics in April to "Dust off" the cars after the winter. and in October we have "The Wrap up"
Last years even was around 500 cars. ALL makes and models

This is not a race or car show. It is just a chance to hang out make new friends and enjoys each others company. I was 1 of 2 86s last year :( and the other owner took off before I could say hello.

No racing no burnouts, no stupidity this event has family kids dogs and barbecues. As well as the local Police running radar all over so behave.

I know a bunch of people that go to this, I may try to make it, but its my wife's birthday. I'll see if she'll let me off the leash to visit for a while.

Oh, she's into cars...just not the type that come to an event like this, usually. May also depend on the weather, as we have a baby in tow now.

Its a family BBQ , seriously though lots of kids, dogs, and food, plus it is at a beach/State park, but end of April it is a bit cold to swim

Yeah, I plan on working all those factoids in. I already put myself down as "maybe."

Hell, I was at the park on July 4th weekend last year. It started out about 85 degrees in Akron when we left home. It was high 70s when we got to the lake. After about an hour a front came across the lake and blew everything that was not tied down away. The temperature dropped into the 50s in like 20 minutes. We left and drove home. It was 80 when we got back to Akron.

You can never tell.

Can't wait for the end of the month. We should get a list of all who plan to attend and try to meet in the same area any thoughts?

I will be there. They are over 1000 attendees on the FB page. It is going to be hard to park together without a plan.

Sounds at this point that I won't be able to make it--wife's birthday is that weekend, and her parents will be in town. Represent well, guys!

Yeah there really is no organized parking many have suggested it but no way to tell people to park where you want them. Trying to pick up a new STi for the wife i will have my Civic and BRZ there as well. The NEOSOC, (North East Ohio Subaru owners Club) will hold some spots for me but the best way to park together is to all roll in together.

Looking forward to this Sunday! Can't wait.

60 degrees and 30% chance of rain.

I had planned on coming but the weather and the fact that I have the car in pieces right now may deter me. If all goes well I could probably have the car back together in time so it will mostly depend on the forecast. It is ironic that I have two car events planned in the next ten days and the days of those events are the only days it is supposed to rain in the 10 day forecast! :thumbdown:
