Need a stock FRS
Alright, so in May there will be a scca track day that I will be attending. Well I guess you can say I am obligated since I got sponsored by Nitto and got a free set nt05's that are currently on my car with my work emotions. There will also be an article and pics on that day that will be comparing a stock FRS with stock wheels and tires of course with my frs with upgraded wheels and tires. We are going to put an article up on moto IQ I believe to show that upgrading wheels and tires makes a big difference in lap times.
So all in all, need a stock frs with stock wheels and tires. Yes, you will be driving your own car and you will be mentioned in the ink and there will be pictures of your car. I will also be there with my frs that is on the works and nittos. Along with me, my co worker that writes for moto IQ will be there. Any takers? Let me know. Further details will be made in the upcoming future. |

Agreed...put stock wheels/tires back on.
Maybe you no longer have them? Then the question is, 'who wants to borrow me a set of stock wheels/tires'? |
Test will only be valid with same driver. Toss on a set of stock tires and you should be good.

upgrading wheels and tires is already proven better lap times on this car
theres vid on youtube |
If you really want to test the variable, put better tires on stock wheels, and then run aftermarket wheels with stock tires as well. You can see the difference the wheels or the tires make themselves.
While a great idea, wheels and tires are known to make a difference. You need to isolate variables. If you don't have a lot of track or autox seat time, a good driver could likely walk all over you in either setting in a bone stock car. |
I'm down. I'm located right down the street from you in DB. I just picked up my FR-S today. Hit me up with the details!

If the writer's slant on the article is less of a research piece and more of a "here's a comparative rundown of the FR-S vehicles that raced" then it won't matter who the drivers are; I guess that makes it more of a puff piece advertising the car. I have no idea what MotoIQ is so I guess if it's targeted more toward advertising aftermarket goodies then the article will work just fine and they simply need additional cars for the article.

Dates??
Location?? Stock FR-S available if the dates work out, with track-time/HPDE experienced driver. However the supply of aftermarket parts is piling up in the garage... Eric G |
