Saw this in another post here at the bottom.
It looks huge compared to the stock air box. Iv'e not been able to find any other info in my searches, does anyone know if it is going into production? Or know anything else about it at all?

Thanks

It is in production and you can order it through your dealership since it is a TRD USA part.

Part# PTR03-18130

How much is it???

I am not sure if it is in production yet. Or that you can actually just have your dealership order it. I have some pretty darn good connections here at my local Toyota/Scion dealership and they have barely heard of it...maybe those connections aren't so good after all.

The part number and installation instructions with all the information is up on the Toyota Technical Information System for all the technicians so if it isn't available yet, it will be available soon.

I probably should have said that instead of assuming it is readily available now, thats my fault.

What you said originally is likely true anyway, so no worries

Yeah I haven't heard about it being released yet I'm pretty sure it's coming out this summer.

Very Nice! should reduce any pressure drop caused by the OE airbox and elbow.

This reminds me of the realtime racing ITRs using an NSX airbox....maybe this is from another toyota model?

I don't understand why this is a desired item. It looks like it's just a short ram. I understand it's larger but the filter box still sits in the engine bay. So the air flow will still be warm but now there's more of it?

From the looks if the pictures the airbox is sealed, and draws air from the high pressure area in front of the radiator support, just like the stock box does.
