The rail dust WAS there before. It didn't turn to rust until it mixed with moisture (water). I wouldn't roll over on this. I'd talk to the service or general manager of the dealership. If that didn't work, I'd go to corporate and, even if nothing ends up being accomplished, make a complaint.

Like Greg and I have posted. Clay and Iron-X your car for under 50 bucks. You will know it has then been done correctly and will have the product for future corrections. Problem solved. The aggravation saved by not messing with a dealer is priceless.

Well, if it's still there, then I'll complain because I've clay barred some out and some starts to appear out of nowhere. Going to be visiting the dealer again tomorrow morning regarding condensation in taillights.

I've already clay barred my car in the same place but it looks like a few other spots decided to come out on the driver's quarter panel. I've clayed that whole panel too. Right now I rather have the dealer deal with this under no cost rather than to spend money.

Whatever you decide ,it's your car. As other posters have said, the clay only removes the above surface contaminates. The Iron-X is needed to remove the rest of the iron particles. Goggle Iron-X . This product speaks for itself.

I know the product speaks for itself. I have seen videos as well as googled it before. Like I have said, I do plan on getting and using it for my car.

Them refusing to do it was a blessing in disguise - there is a very, very good chance they would have caused more damage than they fixed; in the end having them work on it will cost you more money.

They didn't refuse to do it. They wanted to charge me to do it.

Ya... and you didn't go for it; which is probably the right choice. :)

Haha it was the right choice. On the other hand, I might just go to a meet and check out if other white frs/brz has the same issue. If not then I guess I'll get some Iron-X to remove/clean it.

Just got these out on my car - a few passes with a new clay bar took care of a few, and then I used a light swirl removal (Poorboys SSR1) by hand on an applicator pad that took care of the remaining ones.
