Gear Stick HELP

Hey, I've recently realised that when my car is in park with my feet off the pedal, i am able to wiggle my Gear stick from side to side. Is this normal ?

Thanks !

My statement was conditional, how does that make it a troll?

OP didnt state if his car was AT or MT.

The first FRS I sat in was AT and i noticed that as well and it was brand new on the lot. I am assuming it is normal. Obviously a MT would shake side to side. I can see why the gear shifter shaking side to side in a AT would be weird. Hope this helps!

On a forum like this there are people from all over the world which means that English is not always their first language. When my car is parked could easily be worded "when my car is in park", especially when the title of the thread is "gear stick HELP". There's nothing wrong with giving a fellow member a little slack.

OP didn't specifically state whether his car was AT or MT. Furthermore the title of the thread states "gear stick help". Coming from driving manuals all my life, a "gear stick" came across to me as though OP was conveying his car was a MT.

And to put your manual into park? Pull on the handbreak and engage first or neutral. Is that not a parked car?

Umm no the car is now parked... ...

Parked for an auto is P for parked... you have it in N for neturel of 1 for first... P = Parked for an Auto...

If you read what he said, he was describing a MT. Stop being a prick.

And I second what @mswhong said. Putting my car in park means e-brake up and either leave it in neutral or put it in first gear. I DRIVE MT JUST SO YOU KNOW...

The question has been resolved. Everyone get out of P = prick and go for a drive.:party0030:
