Perrin Oil cooler install review

So today I just got done installing the Perrin oil cooler. I didnt take out the front bumper like the instructions manual told me to. I just removed the two plastic splash guard covers on the bottom that is attached to the bumper and installed the oil cooler from there. Next thing I did was just routed the two hose through the front of the water sprayer container and reached for it at the bottom.

Installation was a 7.5 out of 10 with 10 being the easiest.
Time: 3 hours(Because I didnt take out the front bumper)

WARNING: The oil cooler will NOT fit an Injen intake. If your intake has the same length as the oem intake by the oil filter then you should be good. Otherwise, if its even slightly longer than the oem intake then I can almost guarantee that it will not fit.

Conlcusion: While the addition of the oil cooler is nice, it does not leave you a lot of room for most aftermarket "SRI intake" with a heatshield. I think any current/future cold air intake should fit this mod since those dont require a big heatshield box like most of these early SRI adopters do. I have not yet tested the results, its still cold from where I live and we just had snow again today a week after it rained(ARRRGH!).

No problem, it was simply a matter of will it fit or will it not. Now I have a reason to sell my Injen intake, or just modify a CAI using the injen tube. hmmmm

Thanks for the fitment notes. I was worried about that when I had my Airaid intake. I have a CAI now and there should be plenty of room!
