"Is it for sale?"

I just did some basic detailing to take a photoshoot of my Raven FRS. I drove down to a regular spot on PCH (HWY 101) and took a shot. A gentleman pulled up beside me and asked if the car was for sale. :w00t:

I told him unfortunately no. Most likely never. He made a tiny frown. We talked for a few minutes. Found out he does photoshoots for sellers of automobiles and gave me a few tips.

I've been asked a few times about parting with the car. I don't wanna give the line, "Over my dead body", because it just might happen. I usually giggle and say no way jose.

Anyone else ever get asked if the car is for sale?

EDIT: sorry if this topic has already been discussed.

"There's two available right now at the Scion dealer just down the road over there."

Only when the car was brand brand new and I was like one of 7 cars around.

Got offered 5K more than I paid but during that time I didn't want to deal with waiting even longer to get another one

I would have said yes, for the right price. I have sentimental attachments to all of my cars to one degree or another, but for enough money (and I wouldn't be too unreasonable) I would let any of them go.

Jokingly by the guys at work. They always say "You'd sell it for XX? Wouldn't you?". I always respomd with no. If a "serious" buyer expressed interest, I would politely tell them no as well.
