Thoughts about these cars and drag racing....
I read on here sometimes about how one shouldn't really run these cars on the dragstrip, how that "isn't what they are designed for"... Well, I say do what you want with it, making slow cars fast is the original gear head way! Case in point, here's a buddy of mine's pickup, a1936 Chevy with a straight six motor. Hot rodding at it's finest.

I don't see any problems with taking these cars to the drag strip. Although I haven't been to any of our local 1/4 mile tracks in years (I find autocross much more accessible and cenvenient) I used to take my Dodge Neon years ago. It was a cheap and easy way to test the effectiveness of the modifications I was doing to the car. First time I went when the Neon was basically stock I turned a 15.6 in the 1/4 mile. The last time I went before I sold the car I made a 14.6 sec pass.

IMO, the car is made for driving. Drag racing is driving. While it's not how I would drive it, I still give them props for 1. doing it and 2. doing it legally.

Well, I guess it's better than racing these cars in drag.... not that I'm judging or anything.
