Yep. I want 245 front and 255 rear. I am cool with 9.0" width in the front.

OmarGC 08-15-2013 12:41 AM

I have xd9s 18x10 all around... Currently on 245s front and rear... Plenty of clearance to go 255 or even 265s squared.

Are you on BCR coilovers or any other suspension mod?

I'm on stance coilovers which should be about the same spring diameter if not exactly the same... You'll have plenty of inside of clearance esp with only a 9" up front.

BlaineWasHere 08-15-2013 12:53 AM

The tires you want will fit! Just order them already!

AVodka14 08-15-2013 12:54 AM

I was looking into Stance. Do you they ride well/take away from the factory feel too much?

Haha. I am starting to feel that way too. I don't want any rubbing and starting to have to adjust the camber.

Are you on 245/34 F and R?

I'm running on powered by max coilovers. I'm currently maxed out in the rear, and that's with taking off the collars.
I'm running 18x10+38 all around with 225/40/18 accelera tires.
It drives nice and it's not bouncy. I'm also running no camber arms. :)

Wow, not much width/coverage to protect those wheels.

SkAsphalt 08-16-2013 07:05 PM

you want to run 9 and 10" wide wheel/tire set ups that will weigh a fair bit more than stock and be stretched and you are asking if it affects the ride quality/handling?

ffs

Nope. Not in the sense you are thinking. Of course I know the ride quality/characteristics will change. I just don't want it to affect/change/take away from the 86 TOO much. I know there is going to be some obvious change. That is what I am going for. Just nothing drastic. And I was only referring to the CO setup when asking that question anyways.

Yes. 245/35 front and rear.

Will be on 265s all around next season.

Haha yea a little lip is hanging out. But the car still handles well.

RavSpec 08-27-2013 07:00 PM

coil over + wheels + tires on sales if anyone interested. $2500 pick up NYC

wheel can be pick up right now. Coil over need 1 more week, waiting for the KW setup to come in.

Tire sizing Work XD9's

Alright so i got a pair of XD9s coming in size 18X9 Fronts 18X10 Rears +38 offset. As for tire sizes i was planning on running a 225 front and 245 rear. My question is will do you think this would be a functional setup in terms of grip. And what would be considered a mild stretch for both widths?
Car is currently maxed out on stance coilovers with collars on zeroed out front camber and -3 Degrees of camber in the rear (Waiting to fit the rims to redo the alignment)

Fr-s with the lovely matte blue XD9's 18X10 squared wrapped in 225's

Outlawstar98 08-30-2013 10:38 PM

i have those wheels in 18x9 all around, getting 18x10 for the rear though durning the winter. I am running 245/35/18 and no issues with rubbing. Lowered as far as I can on KW V3's in the front.

nix 08-30-2013 11:41 PM

235/265 or 245/265 would be my tip. 225/245 is getting kind of aggressive and you will run a lot of risk of rim damage if you daily it. Just my 2c.

diss7 08-30-2013 11:44 PM

Lol at function being thrown about when talking 18x10s

OmarGC 08-31-2013 12:27 AM

I have 18x10 Work xd9s with 245/35s squared -1.55 front and -1.8 rear camber... Will step up to 265s whenever I burn through these. Plenty of space, and very functional.

SortaFlushed 08-31-2013 05:33 AM

Thanks for the input everyone

diss7 08-31-2013 06:26 AM

FWIW these are sweet rims/setup.

My earlier comment makes me out to be a hater; and I'm not. :)

Not thaaat sweet. 25+ lbs a wheel, just saying.

I had these on my wrx

AVodka14 08-31-2013 11:42 AM

I have been waiting and wondering to see the most width people are getting tire wise for these wheels. I would make sure you are at least 255 for an 18 x 10 and 245 for 18 x 9. I will wait until I know there can be a wide enough tire to protect the rims. It seems different CO setups are allowing different tire sizes to fit.

I'm pretty sure they're 25. I still love them, still one of my favorite looking wheels

Yup 25lbs on the 10s and 24lbs on the 9s

mr. slim 09-01-2013 06:00 AM

Hey guys in the dude in the second picture.
The reason I chose a 225/40/18 all around is due to my aggressive drop.
I tuck tire all around, but that doesn't mean I'm going for form.
I'm proud to say that I'm both form and function.

Why are you selling the BC coilovers? What was it about them you didn't like ?!
Also why are you selling the xd9s?

We like the BC coil over. But went to the KW clubsport.

We like the Xd9, but went to the ADVAN GT full forged.

Both items already sold.

FRS_FIEND 10-31-2013 11:25 AM

Ohhhh I see you guys want more function then form by getting 3000$ coilovers and forged lightweight advans lol nice that's cool ! I'm just glad to know what sizes and offset I can put on my frs lol you guys had the exact look I want. And reason why I ask about the BC coilovers is because I'm getting them and was just making sure they weren't sucking for you guys. My frs is only going to be a dd and some spirited driving so that's why I'm interested in the BC coilovers. Thanks for the feedback.
Was the ride on the BCs like stock ?

Very descent with the price tag. A little harsh compared to stock.

We Sell them at $1000 shipped

FRS_FIEND 11-01-2013 01:16 AM

Alright thanks man! I'll keep that in mind. Probably purchasing the extreme low ones this weekend. I want to go slightly lower than your initial pictures you think it would be better to get 9k to just make sure my wheels won't hit the fenders?

I'm planning to go for the squared route; 18X9 +43 all around, wrapped in 225/40 R18 (front) & 245/35 R18 (rear), on stock height & suspension.

Will that pose any issues at all? Rubbing, scraping, or clearance issues?

Any fender modification required for the above setup?

Any input is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Too conservative .... Go with 18x9.0 +38 and use 235/40 and 245/40

nyfries 03-22-2014 10:14 AM

do these clear BBK?

tysoNgwaNg 03-22-2014 12:39 PM

Subscribed. Just order a set. Tires on the front are 225/40 and rear are 265/35 going to install stance coils the same time I instal the wheels. ( rims are 18x9 and 18x10 +38 ) probably not going to slam the car but hopefully just remove the gap. Going to slam probably after i get LCA and some front camber kits. I'll let you know how it goes.
