OBDII iPhone app/adapter
Reading the gadget blogs today and ran across this. I think it actually looks pretty good considering that it comes with the adapter and app. I know that I could buy most any bluetooth adapter and use it on a Jailbroken iPhone or on Android, but for those of us that don't want to do either, then this looks like a decent solution for some basic things like checking and clearing CEL codes.

I think the best app that iOS has is DashCommand. It's too bad they don't have Torque, that's an awesome app... but Android only.

Nice to see another officially supported bluetooth iOS OBDII device besides the GoPoint BT1!
I'm using the jailbreak/RoqiBT/Dashcommand method right now with one of the cheap generic OBDII devices, but would pony up for something that is affordable and works with DashCommand, nice to see it is BT and meant to stay connected all the time. I will have to keep an eye on the DashCommand forums to see if this ends up being compatible with it. |
