Anyone had any problems with Prime Motoring

anyone else had any problems with prime motoring. i sent them money back in the middle of jan for aem fail safe and gauge pod said it would be a few weeks. I haven't heard a single word from them i call and all i get is voice mail same thing goes for the forums they don't respond. I got them to answer me once on the forums and they said it would be mailed Tuesday and that day came and went so i called a week later and they said it would be mailed Wednesday and that was last week. called today and got voice mail.

anyone else had any problems with them or good customer service? I hope I'm not out 500$. I know Supermassive on here ordered the same thing and he got his fairly quick so not sure what's taking them so long on mine and the lack of communication. I understand they are doing other projects in the shop and what not the month or so wait isn't bothering me its the lack of communication or no communication that's annoying.

I apologize for the delay in communication, we just moved into a new shop so now we're back and ready to go, hope you enjoy the pod!

Mike

I'm having the same problem. Paid January 22nd, expected 2-4 weeks.

Called the 5th week, was told my pod only needed to be painted and thats it, would be shipping that week.

Called again 6th week, there a minor fitment issue, would ship soon...

Called 7th week, still the same fitment issue, would ship that week.

This is the 8th week, have had to call 3 days in a row. Supposedly I would receive an email with tracking information, did not receive it. I know this things take time, but 8 weeks from an initial 2-4? Pushing out the ship date time and time again?

I NEED to have the pod installed by tomorrow... Guess that is NOT happening....

@PrimeMotoring

Edit: Got a tracking number and supposedly I will get it Saturday... Crossing all fingers..

Frs300 03-21-2013 11:06 PM

i finally got my pod and it looks awesome

Called back on Friday because the tracking information just says "Shipping information sent to FedEx". Mike assured me I would receive it Saturday and that the item was picked up Thursday.

I did not get my pod on Saturday... Yet another promised date slipped. I am VERY disappointed. Tracking info still DOES NOT say it has been picked up.... I'm a patient and fair person, but this is getting ridiculous.

Just got off the phone from FedEx, they have not received the item yet.......

Ive dealt with these guys personally - theyre good people. You have to understand that theyre a really small operation that could grow 10-fold if they had the man power; they certainly have the demand to be a much larger organization. Be confident that your product is being worked on by the owners of the shop and not being passed down. The folks who you communicate with at Prime are the same folks who do the actual work. Give them some time.

I understand all of that and Mike sounds like a really cool guy.

I hope you understand that keep missing promised dates is not good for any business.

Iddoit2er 03-24-2013 04:41 PM

Yes, you putting that in bold makes me understand your experience with them now, and makes me understand your point, where as I did not before it was in bold.

lol.... ZING

Awesome! Thought you would have got it initially, very glad I did emphasize it and bolded it the second time ....

Just got off the phone with Mike. He wanted to square everything out and apologized for all of this situation and I will get my pod tomorrow.

Fedex is the culprit right now. I think we are all humans and we can all make mistakes. What separates good and bad businesses is how they respond to those mistakes.

I have been assured I will receive a pod tomorrow and I believe Mike I will. This is the type of response GOOD businesses have.

I will update the thread tomorrow when I receive it. I also noticed big part of the delays is him attempting to deliver me a PERFECT product (can't complain about that). I gave him some feedback going forward. He was very attentive and receptive. Will keep everyone updated.

Sportsguy83 03-28-2013 07:58 AM

Update: I received my gauge cluster yesterday. Prime went above and beyond and even included some free goodies in the shipping box!! The cluster pod looks AWESOME!! I haven't had time to install it but I'm pretty sure it will look sick. Pictures to come.

Thanks @PrimeMotoring, looking forward to do business with you again.

Sportsguy83 04-01-2013 09:40 AM

I installed my Gauge Pod on Saturday. It looks SO AWESOME!!

Thanks Mike @PrimeMotoring, I wouldn't have bought any other pod!!!

Yes we are and we are currently working on getting these produced in many different configurations and materials as well so we can ensure quick service for all of you guys purchasing these and avoid any delays. As of now though we still are producing these by hand so wait time is about a month since I have a good amount of orders to fulfill.

FTEIGHTSIX 06-12-2013 07:20 PM

Are you still using our own cores or have you made a mold yet?

FTEIGHTSIX 06-13-2013 11:11 AM

Awesome. Please keep me updated and notify me when that starts.

mnsayer 12-23-2013 12:40 AM

What size gauges fit?

OICU812 01-31-2014 04:33 AM

Did these ever go into production or just on an order basis? Looks like a clean solution!

For the first time, I will be going to prime motoring tomorrow for installing the invidia N1 catback.

Hopefully they are good and do a nice job... They are charging me a reasonable price (thats why im going.)

Will post review after installation.

fumanchu1 01-06-2016 02:34 PM

I've heard decent to good things about them from most so hope you will have a good experience.

Pretty hard to screw that up. A motor build is pretty easy to screw up though.

Got my Injen exhaust installed by them, good price, good guys.

Only complaint is that they didn't have any spare extra long exhaust hangers, so my exhaust is sitting too high. But thats more of an issue with the Injen exhaust. Anyway, would go to them again.

Jfheisenberg 01-07-2016 02:28 PM

I had my invidia N1 catback installed by Prime motoring about 1 month ago. They did a pretty good job. They made sure that there were no exhaust leaks and that the tips were align correctly.

Im pretty happy with the installation.

I don't know if the threads are still around, but there were some horror stories posted on here about his work...

The easiest way I can put it is that he is a Subaru and not a BRZ/FR-S tuner. He is also more of a drag car tuner versus a daily driver tuner.
