Need help picking coils
 

With spring coming up i plan to install some coils, though im having a hard time deciding what one to pick among my options. My max price in $1.5k and i plan to track the car very lightly, a max of 3 per year (for now). I dont mind how stiff they ride and i would like a nice drop, not slammed but a little low (plan on getting 18x9/9.5 rpf1 +35 with 245 front and 255 back). These are my options.

Buddy Club Racing Spec Coilovers
Fortune Auto V4 500 Series Coilover
KSport Kontrol Pro FRS / BRZ
Stance Super Sport FRS / BRZ
D2 Racing

My top choices are Stance and D2, iv heard good things about both.

How did you end up with D2 as one of your top choices? What good things have you heard?

Nothing for our cars yet but I went to a local shop and was talking about coils. It came up in the conversation and he kept on saying D2. So I guess im going on by word of mouth.

I'm new at the coilover bit too. My car is a DD that I'll end up tracking every now and then.

Too paranoid to track it now, so new and parts are hard to find, making LARGE payments to pay it off quick ETC.

I was thinking about some Eibach Pro Streets because that company has always done right for me.

I'll put it this way. We don't offer any of the brands you mentioned, but I would 100% recommend anything else on your list besides D2/Ksport. I would prefer stock.

Same here, don't sell any of those and would recommend Tein Street Flex or Street Basis in that price range.
I don't think that's what they were saying, out of what's mentioned in the OP i'd go with Fortune's but still wouldn't prefer them.

so your saying the tein flex is the best for my price range? What makes them better then stance? From a post I saw on here that the ride is bouncer then stock, does this mean low spring rates?

I would like to say this again, im going to track the car LIGHTLY, so i see no need in coils that are over 2k+. I would just like to know that the coils im getting will be good for those track days ill go to.

*edit* after reading some more im going with buddy club coils. After reading some reviews it seems like buddy club fits my driving style alot.

Why not good springs and konis? Maybe a few key bushings.

Its not a bad idea to track the car on stock suspension once to get a better idea of what you would like to improve.

What type of tires do you run?

Im split between stance and the fortune auto. I like the fact that the 500's are rebuildable in the US, but I had stance on my old 240 and loved them. Im in the same boat as you. I have the money for kw's just dont feel like dropping that kind of coin on coilovers for a dd.

I ran koni yellow's with H&R spring's which I loved on my eclipse GSX. If someone was looking for springs and struts i would recommend them koni's with RCE yellow. Though for me this time I would like coils, for the simple fact that I can adjust the height and ride quality. I also prefer stiff suspension and higher rates up front since i like the front feeling more planted. As for tires im still on stock, have yet to pick out tires since no wheels yet.

Not to be rude, but why ask the question if you are going to completely ignore all advice given to you?
