Thinking of Buying -- Scion Dealer Suggestions?
I'm thinking of buying an FR-S. Do any of you have good or bad experiences to share about dealers near the Boston area?

They are absolutely fantastic. They DO NOT try to screw people. My family has purchased 9 cars from them and when I bought my FRS in June I walked into the finance office and was blown away when I got an even better deal on financing than I was expecting. Check out my car journal (sig) for more info on my experience. Check out www.wow-toyota.com / http://www.scionofwallingford.com if you're already sold. They have 4 in stock in 4 different colors. 1 MT and 3 AT. Some of them have the 5 axis kit. If I you want confidence in your buying experience I'd recommend making the trip and then getting your service done locally. |
Acton Toyota of Littleton was straightforward. No runaround, no add-ons. They do try to upsell you at the finance of level, but they are not too obnoxious about it.

McGee Scion in Hanover, MA. Ask for my buddy Ahmed Ragab. He's a big Toyota fan and was very helpful when I needed to find my mom a car. He "gets" the FR-S as he owns an FD3S RX-7 :)
#617-938-1077 is his number. |
I might be a little late to this thread, but I got mine from scion of watertown and had a good experience. No BS, no games.

Just don't go to the one in Allston. When I called up long ago asking to test drive one, they said 'sure come on down'. I called afternoon day of, they said i'm good to go.
I get there and they say 'huh? we don't have one for test drive, we don't even have one in store. If you want you can come by tomorrow and see one that we just sold...' and I told them that I'd spoken to someone on the phone multiple times confirming a test drive - they feigned ignorance. Then two sales reps start talking to me about how great the car is and how most people don't test drive it before ordering one: "this is a really great car, we've got orders coming in like crazy, people don't test drive before buying them - if you really wanted one you can order through us". To which I replied "go F*CK yourselves and die in a fire, I'd never buy a new car without taking it for a drive first, your bullshit about having one then not having one to try out pisses me off" and walked out. So instead I went to cityside subaru, they were great - they let me test the BRZ as well as a WRX - I ordered from them and never looked back. TLDR: avoid allston's Scion - bunch of jerk offs - i hope one of their staff reads this. |

I was thinking of trying to find a used on in stock -- there are a couple in the Boston area -- just to test drive. I have a feeling that would be better than test driving a brand new one.
It turns out I know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a guy, etc. that works at a Toyota/Scion dealership in Westboro. Maybe it'll work out, maybe not. Does anyone have any experiences with that dealer? Thank you all for your responses; they've been extremely helpful. I really appreciate it! |
Toyota of Nashua.
They sure know how to treat a customer and sell a car. They went out of their way to get me the car and do everything they could. Would definitely recommend them. |
The ONLY Toyota/Scion dealer I will deal with is Falmouth Toyota...bought my truck from them 6 years ago, will never deal with anyone else ever again. Not after dealing with Watertown Toyota and Boch Toyota...they were both shit.
