Recommend an Android tablet
I am interested in running Torque to collect OBD2 data. Right now I have an iphone and use DashCommand, but I am tired of using my phone for this purpose. I'd like to get an Android tablet that I can use instead.
Running Torque would pretty much be all it does, so I don't imagine I need the best tablet out there. Also, the smaller the better. It must have Bluetooth, obviously, so I can connect to a BT OBD2 reader. Any suggestions? I have a first-gen Kindle Fire but unfortunately those don't have Bluetooth. Thanks in advance! :thanks: |
What size are you looking for?
You can get a Nexus 7 or Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, they're both 7" diagonal screens and are the 2 best tabs out right now. |
I am sure you can get cheaper, but if you want something reliable that will last for a while, I'd recommend the Nexus 7.

Nexus 7 for sure.

I've got a Nexus 7 and really like it. Not quite as buttery smooth as a newish iPhone or iPad but works great.

Thanks -- sounds like the Nexus 7 is the way to go. I'll keep an eye out for one.

Most pricing right now is fixed at $200 for the 16GB, $250 for 32GB. You might find a hidden sale or a general discount on purchases over $xxx to take advantage of.
