FA20 Turbo?
Subaru FA engine
(Japanese: Subaru FA engine) The FA was developed from the FB engine, however, efforts to reduce weight while maintaining durability were the main goals of the FA engine. While the FA and FB engine share a common platform, the FA shares very little in dedicated parts with the FB engine, with a different block, head, connecting rods, and pistons. The FA also features direct injection (from Toyota) and Subaru AVCS variable valve timing system. It is used in the Subaru BRZ, and is identified by a Toyota engine family code known as the 4U-GSE, which is installed in the Toyota 86 and the Scion FR-S.[6] According to Subaru, 0W-20 oil is recommended. I remember reading an expert engine specific analyzation on CarDomain, not sure if you guys are familiar, but it's this place where only car experts are allowed to gather, but I read specifically that the F'EH20 motor could never even dream of being boosted due to the high-compression. Which I assume is something important.

Fa20. Is already boosted at 12cr. But the car makers are happier at lower cr

It'd be cool to see people start putting this kit into the FRS/BRZ, but the boost would have to come way down in order to accommodate the high compression ratio.

I would'nt doubt if the japanese tuners are looking for that specific legacy and swapping out the turbo.:rolleyes:

One of these engines would be massively better than any of the bolt-on kits out there, but I think there'd be clearance issues under the engine where the turbo is placed.
