Wheel Directory: Enkei GTC01 18x8.0 +48

Enkei GTC01 18 x 8" +48 - pics Tyres: Pirelli P1 Cinturato 225/40 R18 - for reference, they feel very close to the stock HP Primacy that you get, maybe a touch grippier. (mainly driven hard in the wet so far) Stock suspension. Sorry I didn't get the front lined up properly, I was really tired at the time... might try again at some point if there is interest http://i45.tinypic.com/9hsvgk.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/dcwj6v.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/334j6v7.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/2ih19pd.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/zl9od5.jpg In motion https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...06690382_o.jpg |
Are the wheels 'hyper silver' or 'hyper black'?
|

They're actually hyper black not hyper silver...
The GTC01 only comes in hyperblack. - I would still call it silverish though. |
Looks good!
I would of gone with a lower offset IMO |

After reading this thread I decided (i.e. ordered) to go with the GTC01's at 17 X 7.5. They have same offset (+48) as the OEM's. I have not made any other alterations to the vehicle.
Although I haven't seen an example of the hyper black finish, I like the idea that they are not too bright and still create a 'differential appearance', to use the term, relative to the Sterling Silver Metallic body. I just did not want to go to a black or gunmetal or gray. (silver but not silver) I should have them on by end of next week. For replacement tires (after the OEMs are worn out) I will want to go with one that maximizes grip in wet weather conditions. |
Reminds me of first gen Scion Tc wheels. Are you happy with them?
|
btw, I always find that wheels look different in motion so here is a motion shot - 140kph~

Here's my contribution. Same wheel and tire size. I was previously on 17x8+42 rota titan's but they won't clear Brembo calipers, which is why I got these instead.
By comparison to the Titan, these wheels sit 6mm further inside the fender and looks slightly whimpy. And the extra camber i'm running doesn't help with the looks either. Oh well.... http://s27.postimg.org/dnwce04cz/86_photo.jpg |
I just ordered a set 18 x8 with 245 35 18 Michelins... I will post pic as soon as I get me installed...
I hope I didn't make a mistake on tire size. |
