Group Drive Feeler - Catskills, NY

Since a few people mentioned that they wanted to meet, I wanted to see if there was any interest in doing a group drive in the Catskills. I've been doing these with TT owners over the past 5 or 6 years and we've always had a lot of fun, turned a lot of heads, and have never gotten pulled over by law enforcement.

The date I was thinking of doing it on is Saturday, 4/20.

A few things to keep in mind about the way I do these:
Safety is the most important thing, these are "fun runs" taken at a nice pace but there will not be any excessive speeding. The roads aren't going anywhere so you can always go back on your own another day if you want to drive like that. At the first drive that I was a participant in there was a bad accident and it was completely due to the leader doing stupid things, there's just no reason for that to happen.

In order to keep things manageable, I limit groups to 15 cars, more than that gets difficult especially if we had to stop to deal with an unexpected issue. Because of this, I will not post the details of the drive online, all communication will be done through email.

It's hard to do these unless at least some people have FRS radios. Without them, there's no way for me to know if someone is having a problem and needs to stop or if we get split up somewhere. Also, if we do get split up I always stop to get the group back together, there will be no need to do anything aggressive or illegal to catch back up.

If you're interested PM me with your email address and next week I'll let you know if it's going to happen and send you the details if it is.

Evan

Great.

The temperature needs to warm up a bit since my car has summer tires on it, I'm not even driving it today through friday.

I have a family thing on the 6th that I have to go to.

Oh snap it is. And that's a lot of driving in one day. Could we do the 21st?

Sunday's are tough for me right now.

Normally I wouldn't mind changing it to a different weekend but I won't have another free weekend for a couple of months.
