First meet of the year!
April 6th, 2013
Time: 8am - 11am
Location: Kart 2 Kart 42705 Van Dyke Ave., Sterling Heights, Michigan 48314

Everyone is welcome independent of brand, year, type of vehicle. Spread the word and if you haven't tried the new Stratos karts, you are in for a treat. The only ft86 I've seen there was a Galaxy Blue BRZ with manufacturers plates last fall. Lets change that!

Fast & Furious 6 Midnight release

From event page: UPDATE: I have a letter of permission from AMC management, but you need to purchase a ticket if you dont want to deal with loitering allegations as stated by amc. (Im sure "I bought them online" would get around that if needed)
I want to show that Detroit is the orginal car show capitol of the world.
Last year around 100 cars showed up for the midnight release meet. This time I expect it to be over 500. We meet up around 10 and see the movie at midnight. It was a fun time being as we filled much of the theater. Keep the shenanigans in check we don't want you walling it into one of our cars.

That is a long way off so no telling what will come up before then, but I definitely plan on making it to this.

It is a long ways away but typically, the date is announced approx. 2 weeks before. The event announcements are really just a formality. The meets are always the first Saturday of each month, April - October unless there's a major issue like weather or a major holiday.

I'd totally be up for a Toyobaru lunch afterward except I don't own one of the twins yet. :P If all goes to plan, I'm actually going to be leaving directly from Kart 2 kart to go buy a BRZ.

Excellent. Good luck. Maybe you can roll up to the dealer in one of the BRZ's from the forum. That will confuse the salesguy nicely.

That would be awesome but plans have changed since I posted that. My local dealer is actually getting a few in soon so i put a deposit down on one of them. Downside is that the ETA on it is End of April.


Side note, I added other local events to the first post. I'll try to keep it updated as much as I can.

:bump: coming up quick

I'll be out there about 8:30 in my Prelude. my BRZ should be here in time for the May event. Is anyone planning on karting while there?

I'll probably be there. Not sure about karting though. Logically I should cut out early and get something useful done at home (also save some money) but whether or not I can resist the lure of the karts remains to be seen.
