What kind of shoes are you guys using for motorsport?

Just wondering what everyone is using for track days as I normally drive without shoes on the street...

suggestions welcome.

I have two answers:

Piloti are what I wear when I'm feeling snobby. Amazing shoes, but not necessary.

Mostly I wear a thin running show. Something super light and flexible. Preferably [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Onitsuka-Tiger-Ultimate-81-Sneaker/dp/B004FV4W4U"]Onitsuka Tigers[/ame].

Ultimately, you just want to be able to feel what your feet are doing. So long as they are grippy, thin, and flexible, you're good. As a matter of fact, since I have a ,ore "upscale" job these days, and don't feel like changing my shoes when I get to work, I wear these silly things.

You guys aren't making this any fun.
POST PICTURES.

Onitsuka Tigers my GF gave me. Very thin sole, and they look ridiculous:

Black leather Puma Speed Cat with red stripe - it matches the interior upholstery.

Puma and Pony shoes. Sadly they do not make either of the pairs I wear anymore. I will have to snap some picks and come back to this. the Pony's are very thin. quite excellent.

Generally I look for a thin sole and a rounded heel

Vans old Skool, all day long.

And an old pair of Hi-Tec retro running shoes from about 2005, hard thin sole.

Of late ( until my lazy ass gets some "real" driving shoes) I've been wearing either dc court graphics or nine lunarlon skate shoes. Oh yeah and might as well touch on gloves while I'm at it need to get some driving gloves soon too been using 5 11 tactical taclite 2 operator gloves.

Nike Free 3.0 v2's. narrow, flexible, breathable.

The big difference between these and alot of others is toe flexibility. Most of the time, you're stomping... but I like ability to modulate carefully when I'm roaming the grid orfeathering the pedals in a sweeper.
