Interesting!

I thought that was the original concept of including a stereo in the AS-1: just an AM/FM/SirusXM radio with USB for iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile devices. I don't know how everyone else listens to music, my CD players have been rendered useless since AUX/USB/iPod interfaces were made available.

but what about when you get a phone call? instead of just lowering the volume, you have to hang up the phone, go back to the app, and press Play to get the music back on. doing all this while driving is PITA as I have experienced in my car.

LOL you obviously dont have an iPhone with a proper car setup. This is all taken care of m8.

listens music in ipod app - caller , music goes off - pickup, talk, hangup - music back on

:respekt:

I'd say we dont need a cd player at all, just a phone holder and a usb port for power. connect phone with bluetooth, and good to go.

Anyone here like to stream music from their smartphone like w/ last.fm or Pandora to your Aux input? Pick your genre(s) and only the best songs play w/ virtually no songs repeating. My best & easiest music solution yet.

At the bare minimum I would expect a Aux jack in the car.

Don't we already know there's AUX and USB?

There's also a thread on this already, unsurprisingly on this forum.

I knew we had an iPad thread here somewhere, wasn't aware there was already a smart phone one too. But like you said, not surprising giving the frequency of reposts.
