Anyone using the Apexi RS Extreme catback?
I came across the Apexi RS Evo Extreme catback on one of the vendors website and thought it looked really good with the large muffler and huge 123mm titanium tips. I've had experience with using an apexi muffler on one of my previous cars and was very happy with the sound and quality of it.
My other choice is the Perrin catback which is a few hundred $$$ cheaper, so I wanted to know if anyone here has installed it on their FRS or BRZ and your thoughts on it. Is it worth it basically? |
Only you can determine if it is worth it. Will it make more power than most other big name catbacks out there? Probably not. But could it sound better? Possibly, even then still subjective. If you can justify the few hundred $$$ higher price tag for better sound quality, go for it! But don't *expect* more power than the Perrin, Greddy, Invidia N1, etc.

Look clean design. The tip is 4.8" nice ! I like the apexi sound clip in the sticky thread.
Any vendor has it for sale yet? weight? |
APEXi has always made great exhausts. They sound great and have really good craftsmanship as well. Can't go wrong. :)

I heard an Apexi exhaust on a BRZ... To be honest, it's the worst sounding one I've heard so far. But that's just me.

@Moto-P
Sound great on his car! Drove it around a bit a while back to test out the RS-R coilovers and was very impressed by the exhaust. Nice and mellow with just the right amount of sound for a sporty street car. Heard him out at the track also and was one of the nicer sounding cars out there! |
