You know how painful for me to see these threads? I TRY to keep far, far, FAR away from these kind of threads, cuz it brings tears to my eyes.

You know, I've heard a rumor that, if you get Tada-san's autograph item in the car, that curse will be lifted. ;)

I gotta keep you up with the current events! :bellyroll:

Huh, that's funny b/c I heard that if Tada-san never hooked up with Subaru, and caught that STI (sexual transmitted infection) this car would have been blessed instead of cursed!:lol::lol::lol:

No, it's more like Subie is cursing the FR-S before they ship em out. C'mon, look how many FR-S getting this curse vs BRZ

Insurance companies would simply ask you if they actually cared, rather than scrounging for vehicle registration information. Make, model, driving history and insurance options are what dictate the majority of your premium. The color of the car affecting your insurance premium is a myth.

We can argue all day about this.

Each insurance company uses multiple and complicated formulas and databases to calculate insurance rates/risks. They are proprietary, these are private companies who are not responsible for detailing all their risk analysis. Color is included in it, so is your job title, and credit and debt ratio, and annual income.

If you want to debate it lets take it off line.

I'm glad to hear you're doing fine. I hope you have a good body shop and get full compensation. Good luck with this unfortunate situation. I feel for you.

Wrong guy dude. My car didn't get hit.

Well, I guess I'll be wrapping my FRS/BRZ in violet when I buy it :D

i find this difficult to comprehend! makes one wonder why fire engines are painted red,as i believe it has something to do with being "seen" on the road so people will react accordingly!

So why is it harder to see red cars like our own? From what I understand, they are easier to see when you are looking at them, however it is much easier to miss them when its in your peripheral vision (less color sensitivity). I'm no expert, just relaying personal experience, so I could be wrong. But if Red cars were harder to see across the board, why do you have urban legends that say that red cars are pulled over by cops more often? :iono:

because red cars "stand out" in a line of traffic. there is a reason why red is referred to as "arrest me red",because it is "picked up" by the eye more readily.
