Scion-style rear badge?

Is anybody else thinking of putting a "scion-fr-s-concept-style" rear badge on the Toyota instead of logo? I would like.

The Toyota has a logo on the rear stripe above the number plate like this.

I like how it was done on the Scion FR-S Concept. It has a logo in front and the writing at the back, just like Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and Porsche, just to name a few, that have a logo only in front and not at the back. At the back they have it written.

Well, and in this way I'd like to take away the Toyota logo at the back and put the written Toyota letters, like the ones on the FJ Cruiser.

Anyone else thinking of doing the same?

fwiw: that isn't a "badge" it is a laser etched nameplate in the structure of the lid w/ back lighting

No...I ain't doing that...too expensive...

Waiting for someone to make it first. I'd so buy it if it were a functioning break light.

Don't have a link, but someone made it for the first gen tC, so I am sure it will pop up for the FR-S as well... Just a matter of time

That would be awesome for a "TOYOTA" one! Just like the AE86 had "SPRINTER" on the Kouki JDM versions of the right-rear tailithts that lit up when you brake ;) heritage son! Haha

I can see it now the ricer revolution is beginning and the car isn't even out

It didn't light up when you braked, unless you modified it to do so.

I am not talking about illuminated one. Just the name of brand instead of logo of brand like in these:

What does this have to de with "ricer revolution"? Do you at all know what "ricer" means? In case you don't, it means this: Race Inspired Cosmectic Enhancements. In other words not "form follows function". If you have something aganst this, brand name, then at least call it the right way: BLING. But I do not think having letters instead of a logo is "bling".

Re_Invention 12-24-2011 03:42 PM

OP, I agree, the lettering looked great on the concept car but out here in California the brand Scion doesn't carry any cache with it. It's a bummer but most self respecting (consider the company parking lot is filled with Acura's, Lexus's and Audi's.. not Scions, GTI's or Civic SI's) employee's won't want to draw any extra attention to their vehicle being a Scion and the badge is more obscure then spelling it out.

I'd personally consider a de-badge.

It sucks but that's the way it is

Sure, if you care about that sort of thing.
