These cars love cold weather!

I noticed that my BRZ runs much better in cold weather (anything under 60 degrees) than it does in warmer 75+ degree temps.

My previous car seemed to run the same no matter what. But the BRZ just thrives off the colder temps. Anybody else notice this?

My car feels ****ing awesome in the cold.

Air is more dense at colder temperatures.

What he said. Driving up the mountain, the colder air nearly makes up for altitude power loss. At least until about 6k ft for me. Not looking forward to going back to 6500ft... car is gonna be a dog

Denver in the thick of summer is a big bag of suck. Altitude plus heat means noticeably less power.

Also you have to live in it and it's too hot to sleep. Miserable time of year. I don't even stay in Denver between June and late August-- I can't imagine how awful midsummer must be. 90-100F everyday can't be fun.

Ahhh, I think you mean cool weather. From my Minnesota perspective right now anything above freezing is warm. The car does not warm up very quickly in below zero territory.

But I do agree that more power is made at moderate temperatures. It seems from several threads that oil temperature has a lot to do with the amount of power our cars put out, and this along with the denser air may be helping.

Still, it could just be that the gas you put in the last tankful is just better now that it is more expensive again. :)

Yes, I live in south Florida and its rare we get temps in the 50s and 60s but when we do, the BRZ RIPS!! Its like a totally different car!! When its 85 and after sitting at a few lights the car is a dog...a lazy dog.

I was born and raised in Denver and thought summer was awesome. You want a a sucky summer move to the south, hot and humid and doesn't cool off at night.
