And another joins the STX fray... Gonna be a lot of fireworks in Nebraska in Sept!

You guys did it the right way--parts waiting on car, instead of vice-versa.

I had the pleasure of meeting Gordon, Sarah, Tony and Adam of Edge Motorworks yesterday at their brand new Mountain View facility. While other shops are the typical parts retail store, these guys are truly passionate about racing. Infact, every employee must be a driver in Autocross, SCCA, NASA, Time Attack, etc to be considered for employment at Edge.

Tony is one of their main techs and holds numerous class track records. Sarah also drives extensively sharing the same E30/36 purpose build track car with Tony. Gordon is the brains and the owner of the business and it was an absolute pleasure talking about motorsports and possibilities of the BRZ/FRS chassis.

Their background are BMW and Mini racing and they perform all chassis tuning for any car. They also perform 30/60/90k maintenance services for the BMW and Mini community.

They have 2 facilities now with their original shop in Dublin. Look for big things to follow from Gordon and the team at Edge Motorworks!

Extra special thanks to Edge Motorworks for hosting this great meet! Had a great time talking cars and seeing the Edge BRZ autocross racer take shape. God DAMN those black RPF-01s look good on a red car!

Enjoyed meeting everyone and looking forward to coming out to future meets. It's obvious we have a very passionate and friendly group of FR-S/BRZ owners here in Northern California!

Ah, you are indeed the same Edge Motorworks I visited with my BMW way back when. Cool to see another good shop involved in the 86 scene! I'll have to check out the new Mountain View shop sometime.

Terrific BRZ-FRS turnout today -- must have been 8-10 twins there.

Mark Scroggs not only won a super-competitive STX class in the Edge Motorworks BRZ, he also came within an eyelash of top PAX overall. A pretty amazing performance for a car with no power mods and zero shakedown runs. ... A lot of very intelligent guesswork on the initial settings.

Gordon, thanks for letting me take a run!

Fun to watch, and it'll only get better. Results:

+1 to Gordon, Mark, and the Edge crew. Great job.

Can't wait till their Dublin branch starts work on the twins too. Maybe their next addition to their BRZ can be done in Dublin :) :)

Shell out enough $$ to stand against the black M3 from light to light :) haha lol j/k lol. I said "sure" until I saw the badge on the side and thought darn, one of those moments I wish I was driving the truck lol

Thanks Des & everyone else for the kind words & support!! It was a fabulous debut for the car & we are very excited at how competitive it is right out of the box! Click here for the details on how the day went, here is a picture of the Edge machine in action...

Come on out this weekend to Marina for the Amercian Autocross Series! We will be there both days competiting, as well as testing suspension set-ups to get ready for our first National race in April. We plan to set-up an area in the paddock so that all the FR-S & BRZ drivers that come down can pit next to us. Even if you don't want to compete, come on down & hang out to see how a top level autocross is run, we would be happy to give ride-alongs as well! Hope to see some of you there!!
