Edge Motorworks BRZ Autocross Build, March 3rd Mountain View!

Hello everyone, my name is Mark Scroggs, I will be co-driving the Edge Motorworks Subaru BRZ in SCCA autocross competition this year in the ultra-competitive STX class. We are planning a get-together at our Mountain View location this Sunday from about 10AM-2PM, come hang out as we transform the brand-new bone-stock car into a cone-carving machine by installing the suspension, wheels & tires, & various other competition parts.

This is planned to be an easy going get-together where BRZ/FRS enthusiasts can hang out & share car related stories while the Edge crew works on the car. Hot coffee & donuts will be provided starting at 10AM, everyone is welcome to stop by! Find the Facebook link here, otherwise the new Edge facilities are located at...
2235 Old Middlefield Way, Suite A
Mountain View, Ca. 94043
(Between Independence and Rengstorf)

We hope to see some BRZ/FRS enthusiasts there, especially if you have competition aspirations!!

Hey you guys finally got the car.

Were you the one i met at sonoma raceway during the nasa trackday?

I was talking someone from edge motorsports and he was looking all over my black car to see what can be done to it and potential upgrades and mods

Looks a lot like the parts I started my STX build with!

Are the PRF1s et45? What size tire? 245? 255?

Yes, the RPF1's are ET45, but we will be using a spacer. Tires are 255 Dunlop ZII's, at least initially. We will likely also test the BFG Rival when it is released in that size.

Why are you going to run a spacer? There should be no brake or tire fitment issues with that set up...

The 200 treadware on the ZIIs scares my a little for STX going against a bunch of 140 tires, but I'm very interested to see how they do!

You lucky guys... no shops around Florida seem to be enthusiastic about autocross. It's just a secondary function around here, can't even get any shops out to an SCCA event

Ro_Ja 03-02-2013 05:40 PM

I'll be there...
