Cleaning the black plastic trim
On the BRZ Premium, the plastic trim above the fenders has faded (I used a wash + wax product which caused it). What is the recommended product to dress and detail the black plastic trim?
Thanks in advance |
i typically just use degreaser and so far so good ;]

I have a couple of bottles of the Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax from my old car but haven't used them yet: http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...mate-wash-wax/ |

I don't know if this could be harmful to the product, but for my Rally armor mudflaps, which is probably made out of roughly the same materials, I just use regular carwash soap and water. (Meguires Wash and Wax). Then I use Mother's Black Tire Shine on a microfiber cloth (Not drenching the areas, but rubbing on a lite coat to give it some shine.) and rub it on a few plastic materials on the car to make it really shine and pop out. Like I said before, I don't know if this "shine" has any chemical components in it that could be harmful to plastic, as it is supposed to be used on rubber tires... If any one has any info that they would like to chime in with, would be nice!

I use Adam's VRT on any plastic and rubber parts including on the tire sidewalls. Works great.

While I would never use Armorall inside the vehicle, it works wonders on exterior black trim surfaces; both plastic and painted metal alike.

Does this really work? I was entranced, although it was 3:00 am, and I was a little out of it. :) |

Thanks, its a gold mine. |
I use this on anything plastic. I've been using it for years on my bikes, cars, and ATVs. It's good stuff, but it's not cheap...
