FR-S Owners prepare for the worst Insurance May go up

Ok Long Story Short i live in New York on July 2012 I bought my new FR-S and i was Happy.
So my Geico Insurance goes up this march $30 per Month WTH i call Geico and Find out they Ingrease my premium because of my car and i ask why. and They told me that

1. Parts are hard to find incase i crash my car.

2. Is a Sports Car:thumbup: like i don't know that

3. The Car is more likely to get stolen :confused0068: i say my self this is not a HONDA:bellyroll:

4. I live in Long Island :w00t:

I will like to know if you guys are having the same issue with your insurance theres got to be a way that i can win this with Geico :mad0260:

I have USAA mine went up by $30 for no reason as well.

i'm not surprised. once insurance data wises up to what the car is and it's demographic, a majority's insurance rate will go up.

Likely to get stolen...what a crock!

As for the hard to find parts...yes.

You can also thank those drift kings who use the streets as their personal playground and spin off into a tree, curb, or another car...

I juat got my insurance for it last week (Geico as well) so idk if its gonna go up even more or if I got quoted the increase. Im paying 130 a month tho so I hope it dont go up any more.

its not jus us, my stepdads 2010 Fusion went up too. it's due to all the fraud in the nation lately. blame the assholes that cause accidents just to make $$$

I hate insurance, it's the biggest scam in the entire world.

I shelled out $114 a month for 6 years with my Civic. I paid it from $10k to 0 in those 6 years and never had to file an insurance claim once. That is me just giving away $8,208 for no f'ing reason.

Some people had an increase, some got a decrease. This is how insurance works and always will. It isn't for all companies necessarily either, and not in all states or counties. So many variables.

Celica00 03-01-2013 12:45 AM

mine went up 50 a month

21st Century, Bay Area, CA

Comprehensive and collision went up $367 so we're changing to Geico which is cheaper (and also the plan I'm on)

My parents were on 21st with the most superior driving level and the car was insured with the least amount of miles too...

You call it first world problems, I call it horse shit. 28, never had a ticket, never had an accident and my insurance goes up? Yeah that makes sense.

it makes sense when you consider that companies are just now finding out the demographic that is frs owners and realize the cost of repairs. i would bet half of the people on this forum had this car insured as a different make or model since its so early in its life. its not horse shit, you should consider yourself lucky that you got a discount for the first couple months of your ownership.
