Just got my new wheels today! I do think they give the car a more aggressive look.. will be lowering it about an inch and adding sway bars next week. The tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport 225/40/18.

Here's a few more photos. I got the wheels, springs and sway bars from modbargains.com. They were fast, and I like how their online shopping works - grouping items into a package. I bought the Tanabe Sustec GF210 springs and front and rear sway bars, which are non-progressive. I drive "spirited" and do autoX once in a while. I really like this car (almost said love but my gf would look at me funny :) A guy at work also has an FR-S, the Asphault, and has quite a bit of mods already.. I need to catch up.

Finally got the springs on - Tanabe GF210. If I ever install red demon eyes, I'll name it "The Terminator". :)

The springs replacement tutorial here on this board was amazing and detailed.. the only thing was we had to wrench everything, and that means you need a Max Access socket driver and allen wrench to get the springs off (after you compress them). And make sure you line up the rear strut tops when putting them back on - they don't rotate like the fronts. It was fun, but I think next time I'll get coilovers - much easier to just swap them out.

I am so torn between these and XXR 530;s

or saying to heck with it, paying more and going lighter with 17" RPF1s. The TSW are probably a few pounds lighter per wheel than the XXR's however (and I wouldn't need to paint the XXR's)

I definitely debated for a while between those, the PF01 any many others. For the price, weight, size, color and quality, the TSWs fit the bill. Remember these will be on the car for quite a long time - and sometimes tires can cost as much as the wheel. Do you have any upgrades already?

I do, Visconti tune, JDM clear side markers, fog lights, beat sonic antenna, Perrin light weight pulley, swift racing technology header back exhaust, and other cosmetic mods. Also a airaid CAI that will be replaced with the stock intake and a panel filter.

The TSW rims are taking the lead now. I will get very standard (inexpensive) tires.

Nice, I was contemplating TSWs and Michelin PSSes not too long ago.

They grip so beautifully :) Even turning this hairpin they don't budge, while the Primacys squealed like pigs. I haven't tried autoX in these yet, it should be more fun.

(Yes, I am careful on this turn because there may be oncoming traffic) but it's tough on the tire since it's a downhill hairpin.

Too bad the terrain around me is less exciting.
