Why are the sidewalls so tall?

SigmaHyperion 08-27-2013 02:26 AM

Could be an optical illusion, but it sure looks like the rear tires sidewall is slightly thinner than the front. Otherwise, good looking wheels for the car if you wanna stick with 17"

Because meaty!

Also the 235 width makes the tire taller than a 225 with the same sidewall sizing of 45. Make sense?

17 x 8 35s with 225 PSS in the polished finish (stock suspension):

I really like these wheels. The only thing stopping them from being my choice is they don't come in black. That's why I'm probably going to end up with the Donningtons.

Similar situation here. The reason I didn't pick these up despite their great weight is that I wanted shiny bronze instead of matte. Found some awesome Rotas instead.

Looks great...one of the best looking 17 inch wheels in my opinion. How much poke in the front with that +35?

It's a bit of poke. You can't really tell from looking at the front of the car, but if you are looking down the fender line from the back, it's got a bit of poke. It's calculated at 26mm further out than stock, and I think 20 is about flush.

since 30 is flush in the back, i'm thinking about adding a 10mm eibach spacer
